She is well experienced in primary eyecare, including adult and children's comprehensive eye exams, therapeutic management and treatment of ocular infections, diseases, and disorders, advanced contact lens fittings, and refractive and cataract surgery co-management. Her specific interests include myopia management therapy for the young patient population so that they may have the best visual quality later in life.

After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Dwight Eisenhower High School, Dr. Than earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Houston and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Than had her externship education at Eye Center of Texas during her final year of study, where she was trained in LASIK and cataract surgery co-management. Dr. Than is certified in both the FDA approved Coopervision MiSight 1 Day lenses and Paragon CRT ortho K lenses for Myopia Management Program.

Dr. Than is married to Dr. Huy K. Nguyen and enjoys spending their time with their five children. Being a mother and wife, Dr. Than understands the importance of balancing the family’s schedules to serve each individual’s needs. That is why she has made a point to have extended office hours and weekend appointments to accommodate her patients’ busy family schedules. She welcomes adult and pediatric patients, and she looks forward to serving you.
